Paul Veilleux, age 64, of Garland, Texas went to be with the Lord on January 26, 2011. He was born August 11, 1946 in Albany, New York. As a young man Paul served in the United States Navy from 1965-69 where he was a Radar Equipment Forman. He later received an Associates Degree in Applied Science from DeVry University. Paul enjoyed photography and ran a studio until he lost his eyesight. He then became active with the American Council of the Blind and has served in various capacities including President of the Dallas Area Council. Paul was always encouraging, especially to those facing great challenges. He loved music and often played the piano. He was kind hearted and enjoyed playing Santa for friends and family. Paul was a good husband, father, grandfather, and friend and will be missed by many. Paul is survived by his wife, Bennie Veilleux; sister, Blanca Baquero; sons, Paul Veilleux, Jr. and John Veilleux; daughter, Lisa Veilleux; step-son, Terry Calloway; step-daughter, Teresa Scroggins; 7 grandchildren and 2 step-grandchildren. Paul's family will receive friends from 6:00 - 8:00 P.M., Friday evening, January 28, 2011 at Williams. The funeral service will be at 3:30 P.M., Saturday, January 29, 2011 in Williams Memorial Chapel. Interment will follow in Garland Memorial Park. Reverend Dan Rigdon and Reverend Dyral Hargrove will officiate.
