Mark Louis Cizek passed peacefully in his sleep at the age of 26. He lived near his parents, who showed him their love at every opportunity and could not be more proud of his brilliance and talent. Everyone who knew Mark benefited from his big heart and even bigger laugh, and his friendship was cherished by many. He lived on his own terms and had a natural curiosity for how things worked throughout his life. At an early age, he taught himself web programming and became a professional in his field through his own hard work, while also becoming an accomplished saxophonist with the close guidance of his instructor and friend, Kevin McNerney of Garland, Texas. He discovered a real passion for working on cars - a passion which runs in the family - and loved getting them loud and race-ready. His presence will be sorely missed, but we are thankful knowing he is now at peace and with the Heavenly Father. He is preceded in death by his father's parents, Richard and Caroline Cizek, and his great aunt Rosie Granieri. He is survived by his parents, Mark and Dene' Cizek; his sister, Natalie; his brother, Keaton. He is also survived by his extended family in the San Antonio area. On his father's side: his aunt, Deborah Cizek-Simmons, and her sons; his aunt, Mary Alden, and her daughter. On his mother's side: his grandparents, Louis and Jackie Granata; his aunt and uncle (and Godparents), Stacie and David Kinsey, and their children; his aunt and uncle, Teresa and Layne Granata, and their children. There will be a visitation at the Williams Funeral Home Friday October 17th, 2014, from 7 to 9 pm. Please join us in celebrating his life and sharing memories of him. - the Cizeks
