William Anderson Brackeen was born in Commerce, Texas on July 14, 1935 to parents LB and Lillie Belle Brackeen.

William (Bill) Brackeen passed away Friday morning, January 27, 2023 at age 87. William served in the United States Navy and the National Guard. He was a member of the Grand Lodge of Texas Masons in Garland, #441 and was a 32nd degree of the Scottish Rite of Free Masonry. He retired as the Loss Prevention Manager for Sears at Richardson Square Mall in 2001.

William is survived by his wife, Joan Brackeen, daughter, Leslie Gullo and her husband, Jeff Gullo, as well as his son, Glenn Brackeen and his wife, Marcette Brackeen. He had two granddaughters, Stephanie Gullo who married Eduin Noel Anariva and gave William his first great grandchild, Julian, and Alyssa Disbrow who married Mitchell Disbrow and gave him his great granddaughter, Charlotte. William is also survived by his sister, Carolyn Ann Elliott and her husband Charles Elliot, his nephew Philip Elliott and his wife, Garner, and great nephew, Charlie Elliott, niece Marie Evans and great nephew Elliott Evans, and niece Elizabeth Elliott, and great nieces, Arden and Gabrielle Borntrager.

William leaves behind many other family members and friends who have been an important and impactful part of his life. He will be remembered and loved for the great man he was.
