Willa Faye Drain

On June 23rd, 2024, Willa Faye Drain was lovingly wrapped in the arms of her savior and carried to her heavenly home.  She was 89 years of age and a long-time resident of Garland, Texas.

Faye met the love of her life, John Doyle Drain and married him in October 1951.  They shared almost 49 years together until his death in 2000.  They both had a great love for all the young people in their lives, and shared their country home by hosting many cookouts, hayrides, volleyball games, just to name a few.

She was a loving wife, a gentle mother, grandmother and great grandmother.  She leaves behind one daughter, Judy Beth Drain; one granddaughter, Amber Donice Roberts; one grandson-in-law, Blake Roberts; one great grandson, Jayden Garcia; and two great granddaughters, Kaylee Luman and Brenley Roberts.

Faye was a devoted and faithful member of North Cities Pentecostal Church from the young age of 15 to time of her death.  She loved all things surrounding her church and its people.  She was always willing to lend a helping hand wherever needed, whether it was landscaping or making that famous peanut brittle.

She was loved by all and leaves many precious memories, but most of all she leaves behind a legacy of her strong faith and her belief God would see her through.  When her health began to decline in 2023, she stated to her granddaughter "I have prayed and I have no fear…put me in the ground next to your Papaw and I'll say move over honey, I'm finally home".
