Wayne Gray

Joe Wayne Gray, 81, passed away peacefully on Thursday, November 28, 2024, at Avalon Memory Care in Plano, Texas, after a long battle with dementia.

Born in Lindsay, Oklahoma, on January 12, 1943, to Lewis Peter Gray and Ruby Imogene Avery Gray, Wayne was predeceased by both his parents and his brother, Lewis Avery Gray.

Wayne's life was marked by his deep love for technology. He attended Texas Tech University and began his career in 1964 at Texas Instruments, later working at Honeywell. With his passion for computers, Wayne was part of the rapidly evolving tech world, where he made a lasting impact over the years. For his work, he traveled all over North America, from Alaska to Nova Scotia and across the United States. After his retirement, Wayne's adventurous spirit led him to purchase a boat and sail the world.

Wayne is survived by his nephew, Anthony Lewis Gray, and his wife, Wendy Gray; and his niece, Lisa Gray Algazi Marcus.

A memorial service will be held in the Columbarium at Canyon Creek Presbyterian Church, 3901 North Star Rd, Richardson, TX at 10:00am on Saturday, December 14th. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to a charity of your choice in Wayne's honor.
