Wanda Loreene Payne, 77, passed away on January 15, 2026, in Garland, TX. Born on September 12, 1948, Wanda was a dedicated wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother, known for her warmth and caring nature.

Wanda graduated from Bonneville High School and later attended Richland College. She devoted much of her life to her role as a homemaker, creating a loving and welcoming home for her family. Wanda had a passion for craft projects, sewing, reading, and cherished spending time with her friends and family.

She is survived by her husband of 58 years, Rodney Payne; daughter, Karen Payne; son, Brad Payne and his wife Kara; grandsons, Daniel Tawwater (Angelica), Austin Payne, and Nathan Payne; great-granddaughter, Freya Tawwater; and sisters

Sue Pebley, Joyce Devey, and Victoria Henson. Wanda was preceded in death by her parents, Leon and Lois Rice; and her brother, JR Rice.
A family gathering to honor Wanda's life will be held at Williams Funeral Home in Garland, TX on February 1, 2026 from 2 to 4pm.
