Vickie Louise Burnett, age 68, was born on November 10, 1956, in McKinney, Texas, to Bettye June Morgan and Richard Lee Herron. On June 12, 2025, Vickie gained her wings in Dallas, Texas. She made her home in Mesquite, Texas, where she resided with her loving partner, Dennis Sager.

Vickie was preceded in death by her grandmothers, Sally Louise Albritton and Lesia Lorine Herron; her grandfather, Uthell Richard Herron; her mother, Bettye June Morgan; her father, Richard Lee Herron; her brother, Ricky Lynn Herron; as well as many beloved aunts, uncles, cousins, and dear friends.

She is survived by her partner, Dennis Sager; her sister, Donna Gail Reed; her brother, Terry Leon Herron and Brenda Raney.  Her children: Michael Lynn Rogers and Angel Thorn, Billy Lee Rogers and Whitney Ord, Holly Gail Rogers and Vergil Rushing Jr. Robert "Robby" Jearl Burnett Jr. and his wife, Anna Burnett and loved ones including Robert Jearl Burnett, Krystal Rogers, and Kimber Shaw.Her grandchildren: Billy and Taylor Rogers; Jason Dakota and Hollie Hafley; Michael Robert Hafley; Montana Lee Hafley; Holly McKenzie Burnett; Masen Cole Hafley; Ally Nicole Rogers; Morgan Lee Burnett; Robby Leon Burnett; Jackson Lee Bishop; Kaley Hand; Kara Hand; Dana Hand; Dalton and Alyssa Hafley; Faith Rushing; Madison Daniel; Karleigh Law; and Lane Law.

Her great-grandchildren: Bryce Homer Rogers and Clayton Dakota Hafley.

Her niece: Courtney Lynn Raney.

Her nephews: James "Jimmy" Richard Worthington, Brandon Parish, and Casey Lane.

She also leaves behind many great-nieces, great-nephews, extended family, and dear friends.

My Momma,

The day you left us, our world stood still. There is a hole in our hearts that can never be filled. You were our everything — our protector, our helper, our constant source of strength. You saved us more times than we can count and were always just one phone call away. With you, we always had a way through any storm.

We weren't ready for you to leave us, but God had other plans and called you home. Though you are no longer here with us in the flesh, your presence lives on in our hearts and in the countless memories we cherish. Your love for us was unconditional — a kind of love no one else could ever give, and no one else ever will.

You will always be our (My) Momma. We love you, we miss you, and we look forward to the day we are with you again. Until then, you will remain forever in our hearts!!!!
