Truman Royce Price was born Nov. 1, 1936 to Earl and Beatrice Price in the home of his parents located in what is now North Fort Hood, this was before Fort Hood was taken over by the US Government. He will be buried at Pleasant Grove Cemetery, which is part of his parent's original homestead on the base. In 1938 his parents moved the family to Purmela, TX.
Truman started school in Pearl, Texas. He was in the third grade when the family moved to a ranch near Evant, Texas, and in 1955 graduated high school there.
He received his BA from North Texas State in 1964 and started his career with the FBI where he was assigned to the Phoenix office, and later the Los Angeles office. He returned to Texas in 1967 and went to work for Texas Instruments, where he spent 29 years with them. During his career with TI, he was appointed Security Manager in Europe and moved to Nice, France. After that assignment he then moved to Singapore.
He is survived by his wife, Mary Nell Price, who accompanied him on his overseas appointments; he is also survived by three sons, Truman Keith Price, Markus Dawson Price, Kenneth Earl Price, and two stepdaughters Julia Lehman and Kelly Moore, along with numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Truman retired to Murphy, Texas and was a member of the United Methodist Church of Plano, Texas.
