Our hearts are aching as we announce that Tracy Duane Taylor, son, brother, father, friend, has departed this world too soon. Duane was 54 years old when he passed away suddenly and unexpectedly in his home, on March 2, 2023. He is preceded in death by his father, Donald Taylor, his grandparents, Sam and Lavonia Taylor, and Edward and Lucille Kitchens.
He was born September 28, 1968 in Dallas, Texas to Don and Shirley Taylor. He lived in and attended Duncanville schools until his senior year, but graduated from Cedar Hill High School in 1988. Duane was active in dance, baseball, football, acting, band, and he excelled at all of it, even performing dance on television when he was in 6th grade.
He leaves behind his mother and step-father, Shirley and John Rhoads of Canton Texas, his siblings, Sherri and Ryan Bevington of Colorado, Samantha and Mark Zwiebel of League City, Texas, Johnny Rhoads of Austin , Texas, his double cousin Jeffrey Taylor of Dallas, Texas, his beloved children Brittany, Colton, and Allison Taylor, and his adored grandchildren Tristan, Lainey, and Emilee. He will also be greatly missed by many other family and friends including his niece and nephew Ashley and Loyd, and his newest great niece, Paisley.
Duane literally lived for his kids and grandchildren. His family was everything to him. His silly, corny, off the wall, and sometimes quite inappropriate jokes will be greatly missed as he kept us all laughing. Duane's love of sports was shared with his children and grandchildren and that enjoyment will continue in them.
Viewing and service will be on Wednesday, March 8, 2023. Visitation is from 5:30pm - 6:30pm, with a Celebration of Life Service from 7:00 to 8:00pm. There will also be visitation following the service from 8:00-9:00 pm.
Please come ready with a memory to share with the family. There will be opportunity to record these at the sign in table. You may also leave a sympathy message to the family, or a special/funny memory on the memorial page of Tracy Duane Taylor to pay them a last tribute.
