Tommie Sue Ditterline
Sunrise July 12, 1930, Sunset March 14, 2023

Tommie was born in Dallas, Texas and was the daughter of  Dorothy "Dot" Crudgington Baldridge and Thomas Berry Baldridge. Tommie loved to tell the story of how her brother, Buck, picked her from among the babies available for adoption at Hope Cottage.
Tommie met her husband, Fisher, at a church social in Abilene, Texas and they were wed on August 18, 1951, in Abilene where they both graduated from McMurry College. During the nearly 40 years that Tommie taught---mostly in Garland ISD at Watson Elementary School ---she touched many young minds and raised three children of her own.

Tommie is preceded in death by her parents, brother Buck, husband Andrew Fisher Ditterline, Sr., son-in-law Michael C.
Calaway, and her son, Kirk Allen Ditterline.Tommie is survived by her daughter Lori Ditterline Calaway who lovingly and tirelessly and cared for Tommie in her home the last years of Tommie's life.  She is also survived by her son, Andrew Fisher Ditterline, Jr. and his wife, Valerie.  Also
surviving are grandson Michael Calaway and wife Sidney, and great-grandson, Frankln; granddaughter Alex Baker and husband Greg, great-grandchildren Lydia, Calvin, Owen, and Luke; granddaughter Audrey Bell, and grandson Jackson Bell.

A service will be held at Williams Funeral Directors, 1600 S Garland Road, Garland, Texas at 11:00am Sunday, March 19.  The family will greet friends at Williams' beginning at 10am Sunday.  Burial will be at Restland Cemetery 13005 Greenville Ave in Dallas.
