On September 25, 2024, Shirley Ann Kocher passed away in Henderson, Tx peacefully in her sleep at the age of 84.

Shirley is survived by her daughter Angie Abbott and her husband Tim and their children Thomas and Emily Paolino and her husband Andrew, son John Kocher and his wife Nicole and their children Colton, Hunter and Kaitlyn, and her daughter Amy and her husband Justin Ryan and their son Andrew. She was preceded in death by her husband Cleo Kocher, her parents Marion and Mary Sue Grizzle, her brother, JW Grizzle, and her sister Katherine Whitley.

Shirley was born on March 14, 1940 in Dallas, Tx. She graduated from South Oak Cliff High School in 1959 and went on to attain her real estate license.

Shirley married Cleo Kocher in 1963 in Dallas after being introduced by friends. They settled in Garland, Texas and raised their 3 children. Shirley was self employed the majority of her career with an emphasis on home childcare. She helped "raise" a plethora of children across Garland throughout her over 30 years of service before her retirement.
