In Loving Memory of Shauna Tamplen

May 28, 1987 – September 26, 2026

Shauna Tamplen, born May 28, 1987, in Dallas, Texas, passed away on September 26, 2026, at the age of 39. She will be remembered for her beautiful smile, outgoing personality, vibrant spirit, and love of expressing herself through bold colors and makeup. She also had a special love for ranch dressing, one of the little things that made her uniquely Shauna.

Shauna’s greatest professional passion was teaching music to elementary school students in Mesquite ISD. She loved sharing her passion for music and inspiring children through her work as an educator.

Above all, Shauna loved her family. She is survived by her husband, Jody Tamplen and their five-year-old son, Jamie Tamplen. She always wanted the best for Jamie and cherished singing lullabies to him.

She is also survived by her parents, Karen and Rick Stephens; her brothers, Patrick Stephens, Corey Stephens; her sister-in-law, Anna Marie Stephens; her sister, Summer; her brother-in-law, Zander; and their children. Shauna was a loving aunt to several nieces and nephews.

Shauna’s warmth, outgoing spirit, love of music, and dedication to children will live on in the hearts of her family, friends, colleagues, and students. Her bright smile, colorful personality, and the memories she created with those she loved will never be forgotten.

Shauna will be deeply missed and forever cherished by all who had the privilege of knowing and loving her.

A celebration in her memory will be held at Hunters Glen Baptist church, October 16th at 6pm. Come to tell stories about Shauna and her life with friends, family and colleagues. Sing songs and celebrate Shauna with Karaoke hosted by Shauna’s dad Rick Stephens.
