"Shannon, Mom, and Mimi"

Shannon Gail Hatley-Brown, lovingly known as Shannon, Mom, and Mimi, passed away peacefully on June 17, 2025, at the age of 63. Born on September 6, 1961, in Garland, Texas, Shannon lived a life rooted in love, strength, and fierce dedication to her family.

She is survived by her children: Shauna Hatley-Parker of Garland, Texas; Brandon Brown and his wife Romina of Forney, Texas; Brent Brown of Wills Point, Texas; Bryan Brown of Mesquite, Texas; April Brown and her wife Kearcie of Mesquite, Texas; and Cory Brown of Mesquite, Texas. She was the proud grandmother of 11 grandchildren, with one great-grandchild on the way.

Shannon also leaves behind her beloved sisters, Shyrl Clark and her husband Howard, and Sheila Hatley-Makant, and many more family and friends who loved her dearly. She was preceded in death by her parents, Shirley Lyons-Belcher and Johnny Ray Hatley.

Above all, Shannon was devoted to her children and grandchildren. She was known for her stubborn spirit - doing things her way with determination - but also for her warm smile and her beauty, both inside and out. She was the glue that held her family together, and her presence will be deeply missed by all who loved her.

Shannon was a Christian and a woman of faith. She believed in the promises of God, and her family finds comfort in knowing she is at peace in His presence.

Celebration of life will be 12:30PM Saturday, June 21st at Williams Funeral Directors.
