Sandra Elaine Johnson was born on June 11, 1944, in Provençal, Louisiana, to John David and Leola Salter.
Sandra married Bonnie Ray Johnson on December 31, 1961, and they remained faithfully married until his passing on January 9, 2021.
She is survived by her children: Karen Wolfenbarger and her husband, Gene; Todd Johnson and his wife, April; and Kayla Craghead and her husband, Brad.
She is survived by five grandchildren: Corey Wolfenbarger and his wife, Kelly; Sam Johnson; Megan Johnson; Seth Wolfenbarger; and Brooke Craghead; as well as two great-grandchildren, Samuel James and Mary Claire Wolfenbarger.
Sandra is also survived by her two brothers, John Salter and his wife, Virginia, and Walt Salter and his wife, Teresa. Her sister, Carol Rayner of Alexandria, Louisiana preceded her in death.
She also leaves behind many beloved nieces and nephews, whom she loved dearly.
Sandra was a homemaker and assisted her husband in the early years of their family business, Garland Roofing Company.
She loved spending time with her large, close-knit family and traveled often to visit them. In later years, she enjoyed traveling all over the world with her husband, children, and grandchildren. She was a generous friend and a servant-hearted woman who selflessly gave her time and resources to those she loved. Family gatherings were one of her greatest joys in life.
Sandra had been an active member of Lavon Drive Baptist Church since 1965, where she faithfully volunteered in the children's ministry for 49 years.
Sandra entered into her eternal life in Heaven on May 7, 2026 and she will be remembered for her deep love for her family, her faithful service to her Saviour and His church and the generous way she cared for others.
