Obituary

Ronnie Wayne Buckner, a father, brother and friend, departed this earthly realm on October 4th, 2023, at the Edgewood Nursing Facility in Mesquite, TX.

On August 9, 1955, a baby boy was gifted to the late Sherman and Christine Buckner of Bluff, Oklahoma. He was raised in a loving home with four sisters and five brothers.

Ronnie accepted Christ at an early age. He attended Grant High School where he met and later married Rosie Marie Ware. To this union two children were born.

Ronnie joined the Army after High School. He was on active duty for 12 years as a Pershing Missle Electronics Repairer. He was stationed at Fort Sill in Lawton, Oklahoma and later he and his family spent two tours in Heilbronn Germany. He worked as an Electronics Technician with Phi Technologies in Oklahoma City and the Amtote Corporation in Arlington Heights, Illinois. He enjoyed cooking and watching western movies and TV shows. He was an outgoing, fun loving person who never met a stranger.

Ronnie was preceded in death by his parents, two sisters, three brothers and two grandsons. He leaves to cherish his love and memory to his children Tonya Buckner  and Ronnie LaShon Buckner both of Dallas, Texas; brothers Marcell Buckner (Tamashia) Lauderdale, Florida,  Reverend Julius Buckner (Linda) of Lucas, Texas; sisters; Marcia Humphrey (Calep) Oklahoma City, Oklahoma, Janis Jackson (Euvaughn) Hugo, Oklahoma , his grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and a host of nieces and nephews, other relatives and friends.
