Roger Guy McClaskey was born August 26, 1938, in Queens, New York to Catherine Ellen Wersching McClaskey and John Alexander McClaskey.

Roger was a lineman for 20 years.  Afterwards, he became an electrician for 20 years at Mobil Oil, where he retired in 1999. He loved hobbies such as traveling and square dancing to name a few.

He married Nora Creed-McClaskey on November 25, 2017. Roger had 5 children: Susan Todd, Laurie Rodgers, (who died April 7, 2024), Mary Ellen Rudd (husband Mike), Pat Crutchfield (husband Clinton), John McClaskey (Kerri). He also had 2 stepdaughters: Regina Greenwood (Mark) and Penny Currie (William). He is survived by a host of grandchildren and great grandchildren.

He joined Vidor Masonic Lodge #1286 in Vidor, Texas in 1988 where he kept and maintained his membership. In 2021, he and his wife joined and was a loyal member of Garland Eastern Star Chapter #156 in Garland, Texas.

His laughter, jokes, and smiles were contagious. He will be greatly missed by all.
