Obituary

Robert Wade Weber Jr

Robert Wade Weber Jr was born on August 31, 1956 in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma to Mary Catherine Weber (Van Winkle) and Robert Wade Weber Sr. He went home to be with his Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, on October 15, 2023, in Richardson, Texas, at the age of 67. Robert was a loving father, grandfather, brother, and friend.

Robert, also known as Bobby, attended Good Shepard and Bishop Lynch in Garland, Texas until the family moved to Anna, Texas where he graduated from Anna High School in 1974.  During his high school years, Bobby played football, basketball, and was on the golf team. He was also part of the Beta Club and FFA. He furthered his education at Grayson College.

Bobby and his family were members of the Hurricane Creek Country Club in Anna, where he enjoyed playing golf. He also spent a lot of time at Jesse's Place, a local pool hall, where he would engage in "friendly" games of pool.

Bobby married Terrie Lynn Thompson on October 31, 1983, in McKinney, Texas. They had one child during their marriage, Christina. He was the proudest Dad you had ever seen!

Bobby had a fulfilling career as a Master Welder, taking him to various places around the country, including Tuscaloosa, Alabama, where he helped build a skyscraper. Later on, he became an accomplished Machinist, working in the family business. He took great pride in his work and loved sharing stories about his custom fabrications of aviation parts and defense contract work.

Bobby was a devoted Catholic and started each morning with his daily prayers and devotion.  He had a wide range of interests and hobbies and in his free time, he was an avid dart and disc golf player, and he also enjoyed bowling. He had a sweet tooth and loved indulging in Blue Bell Ice Cream and fudge. Above all, he cherished watching his grandson, River, grow, play, and learn.

Robert is survived by his daughter Christina Weber Dowdy, son-in-law Jeffrey Dowdy, and his grandson River Dowdy. He is also survived by his brother Charles (Chuck) Weber and wife Cindy L Weber, brother Michael (Tony) Weber and Liz Kline, brother William (Billy) Weber, sister Lisa Weber Willey and husband Sean Willey, aunt Patricia Van Winkle as well as many cousins, nieces, and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his mother, Mary Catherine Carr (Van Winkle), and his father, Robert Wade Weber Sr, as well as many aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, and nephews.
