Robert Michael (Bob) Woelfle

April 9, 1934 – April 14, 2025

Loving husband, father, grandfather, and friend to many passed from this life on Monday, April 14, 2025 at the age of 91.  He is preceded in death by his parents, Alfred & Mary Woelfle,  brother Don, nieces Barbara, Mary, Maureen & Terese, mother & father-in-law Harry & Eleanore Gustafson, and brothers-in-law Clifford Gustafson & Tom Cummings. He is survived by his wife of 69 years, Shirley, 3 sons, Don, Mark (Tina) Jim and grandchildren Megan & Jordan Woelfle.

Bob received his B.S.E.E from Fournier Institute of Technology and his M.S.E.E from Notre Dame.

Bob worked in the defense industry, first at the Bendix Missile Plant in Mishawaka, Indiana and later at LTV/E-Systems in Greenville, TX.  He also served in the Navy Reserves.

Education was important to Bob and he taught as an adjunct instructor at Eastfield College for 25 years. He also taught religion courses to teens and then adults for many years.

But, Bob was well known as an avid collector of Snoopy and the Peanuts characters.   His philosophy was, "there's always room for another Snoopy."

A loving, faith-filled, kind and generous man, Bob will always be remembered for his big hugs.  May he now rest in peace.

Funeral Mass at St. Pius X Catholic Church, 3030 Gus Thomasson Road, Dallas on May 10, 2025 at 1:00 p.m.  Reception will follow in the Parish Hall.
