Rae Nell Glover was born March 31, 1935, in Duffau, Texas to Ray King & Lois Yoakum and passed away October 21, 2023 in Garland, Texas. Rae Nell was a beloved mom, granny, and friend. She was called "Granny" by everyone. She lived in Garland for 63 years and was married to John for 46 years until he passed away in 1995. She was an active member at Freeman Heights Baptist Church for over 50 years. She sang in the choir and volunteered at the church outreach center, the ROC, up until the age of 85. She loved sewing, reading, gardening, crafts, painting, and decorating, especially for Christmas. She mostly loved her family and her church family. She lived a selfless life and spent her life serving others. She is survived by her children: Curtis R. Glover & wife Joyce, Larry Wayne Glover & wife Eulaylia, Johnna Box & husband Glenn, Cheryl Glover; 11 grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren; and 5 great-great-grandchildren.  She was preceded in death by her parents, Ray King & Lois Hines; and husband, John R. Glover, Jr. Visitation will be 6:00PM – 8:00PM Tuesday, October 24, 2023 at Williams Funeral Directors. Funeral service will be 10:00AM Wednesday, October 25, 2023 at Freeman Heights Baptist Church, 1120 N. Garland Ave. Garland, TX 75040. Interment will immediately follow at Restland Memorial Park in Dallas.
