Peggy Ann Marshall

March 4, 1935 – March 1, 2026

Peggy Ann Marshall, born March 4, 1935, in Nevada, Texas, to Dare and Floy Cowgill, went to be with the Lord surrounded by the love of her family. A woman of strength, spark, and unmistakable spirit, Peggy lived her life boldly, faithfully, and with a little bit of spitfire that everyone who knew her adored.

She was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Johnie Marshall; her sisters, Marty Goin and Billie Tucker; and her parents, Dare and Floy Cowgill. While our hearts ache at her absence, we find comfort in knowing she is reunited with those she loved and worshiping her Savior whole and healed.

Peggy was the proud mother of Darrell Marshall and his wife Jacque. She was a devoted and loving grandmother to Kayla Suits and her husband Steven, Brooke Perry-Hobbs, and Weston Perry. Her legacy continues through her treasured great-grandchildren, Rachel and Bryson Suits, who brought her endless joy. She is also survived by her sister, Johnie Smith, and husband Max, along with many extended family members and friends who were blessed by her life.

Peggy was truly one of a kind. She was full of life, laughter, grit, and grace. She didn't just enter a room, she commanded it and she made it brighter. Her strength was unmatched, her love was fierce, and her faith was unwavering. She taught her family what it meant to work hard, stand tall, and love deeply.

An entrepreneur at heart, Peggy owned and operated businesses including Johnie's Discount Auto, pouring her determination and drive into everything she built with her husband, Johnie. She was a woman ahead of her time, strong, capable, and never afraid to speak her mind or chase what she believed in.

More than her accomplishments, Peggy will be remembered for the way she loved her family. She was the steady foundation, the voice of wisdom, the spark of laughter, and the safe place so many ran to. She was always ready to intently listen. Her life was a testimony of resilience and devotion.

Though we grieve deeply, we celebrate a life beautifully lived. Her legacy of strength, faith, and fiery love will carry on in each of us. Until we meet again, we hold her in our hearts, grateful, proud, and forever changed because she was ours.
