In Loving Memory of Patsy Ann Rogers
Patsy Ann Rogers was born in Greenville, Texas, on September 18, 1943, to Charles and Gladys Brady. She grew up with her three siblings, Linda, James, and Leon.
Pat met the love of her life, Earl Jr. Rogers, in Wylie, Texas. They were married on September 21, 1962, and shared many years of life and love together. Pat was a devoted homemaker who found great joy in caring for her family. Her son, Bradley Earl Rogers, was “best part of her life” and held a very special place in her heart.
Pat had a beautiful way of making people feel good. She was kind, loving, and always so nice and complimentary to everyone she met. Her happiness was contagious, and her laugh was one of the things people will remember most about her.
Her granddaughters were especially precious to her. Her love for them was strong and unconditional. She treasured the time she shared with them and adored being their Mamaw.
Pat enjoyed the simple things that made her happy. She loved shopping on QVC and enjoyed traveling, even when it was just a little day trip to Greenville or Salado. She was an avid Dallas Cowboys fan and enjoyed watching her favorite soap operas, Wheel of Fortune, and John Wayne westerns. She had a special love for dogs and would never turn down the opportunity to feed the squirrels or any creature that she encountered. Pat lived in Garland for many years and built special relationships with her neighbors on Rio Grande. Many days she could be found sitting comfortably in her favorite chair, talking on the phone, outside enjoying her porch swing, or tending to her front flower beds. Her azaleas were especially beautiful and among her prized possessions.
Even as life became more difficult for Pat, she never lost the sweetness and love that had always been a part of who she was. Her gentle spirit remained, and the kindness she gave so freely continued to shine through.
Pat was preceded in death by her husband, Earl Jr. Rogers; her beloved son, Bradley Earl Rogers; and her parents and siblings.
She leaves behind her granddaughters, Kelsey Smith and Courtney Rogers, and her great-granddaughter, Scarlett Smith, who will forever carry her love and memories in their hearts.
Pat knew the Lord and was not afraid of death. She had a deep faith and a peaceful understanding that when her time came, she would be with Him. Her faith gave her comfort, and her family can find comfort knowing that she is now at peace.
Pat will be remembered for her sweet heart, beautiful smile, contagious laugh, and the love she shared with everyone around her. She found her greatest happiness in caring for the people she loved, and the love she gave will continue to live on through her family.
