Patricia Sullivan
Roach
Dec 11, 1937 — Jul 22, 2023
GARLAND
Patricia Sullivan Roach, 85, of Garland, Texas went home to be with the Lord on July 22, 2023, surrounded by family at Methodist Richardson hospital. She was born December 12, 1937, in Chattanooga, Tennessee to proud parents John and Bina Sullivan.
Patricia spent her childhood in Tennessee, where she graduated from Chattanooga High School in 1955. Shortly after, she moved to Texas and attended Baylor University, where she was in the Kappa Kappa Gamma sorority and crowned Baylor Beauty. Patricia graduated from Baylor with a Bachelor's Degree in Music and completed her education with a Master's Degree in Music from Ball State University.
In 1962, Pat married Richard Roach. They had three children: Lisa, Cindy, and John. They were blessed with four grandchildren: Aryn, Calli, Cooper, and Carson, and four great-grandchildren: Sawyer, Bexley, Collins, and Corbyn.
Pat was a remarkable woman who never stopped enjoying life and all that it had to offer. She was an extraordinary wife and mother, elegant, creative, outgoing, and incredibly talented. She showcased her musical talents often while playing the harp. Pat performed in numerous orchestras, concerts, churches, and weddings. Pat loved entertaining, decorating, shopping, traveling, playing tennis, and spending time with family and friends. Pat was involved in various organizations, including Garland Women's Study Club, Garland Book Review, Garland Federation of Women's Club, Jr. 3 Arts Study Club, Ladies Auxiliary, PTA, TCD Ladies Tennis League, Baylor Women's Athletic Cabinet.
Pat and Richard loved to travel. Together they have been to Europe, Asia, South America, Mexico, and most cities in the United States. Pat and Richard enjoyed spending time together at their ranch in Meridian, Texas, and summers at their home in Ruidoso, New Mexico.
We are all greatly saddened by the loss of a wonderful woman, but her legacy and faith live on in everyone who knew her.
