Ntheke was born on August 4, 1972 in Nairobi, Kenya. Son of Benjamin Kalui and Agnes Ndeto Kalui, brother to Mutanu Maryanne, Minoo Rose, Kyalo and Mwendo. Grandson of Kalui Lumbu of A.I. C Ndolo, Kilungu, Machakos, Kenya, Father to Ethan and Audrey, uncle to Michelle, Jamie, Maureen, Nicole, Natalie, Kevin Jr., Natasha and Neveah. Son-in-law to Arphaxad Timasi Genya, Emily Grace Genya, and brother-in-law to Monica Genya, Alpha Genya, and Taylor Campbell.

He went to several schools in Nairobi and Salt Lake City, Utah where he was baptized as well. Completed High School at Rosslyn Academy in Nairobi and received a Bachelors in Fine Arts at Kenyatta University. He met college schoolmate Sarah Nyangi Genya of Kehancha, Kuria. Ntheke worked at Westwood International School in Gaborone, Botswana. He moved to South Bend, Indiana in the United States. He and his sweetheart Sarah married, and they were blessed with their son Ethan and daughter Audrey. He worked at Texas Instruments while his wife Sarah worked at Neiman Marcus. He then also began working at Neiman Marcus until he retired as a Manager there due to his cancer illness.

First and foremost, Ntheke loved and praised the Lord with all his heart. He was well known for his faith in God and his belief in the gift of Jesus Christ the Savior. He was an exemplary hard-working person who was strong, he was dedicated to his family and they have always been his priority. He served at Watermark Church where he and his family attended for nearly 20 years. In 2017 he became sick and was treated at several hospitals in the Dallas/Richardson/Plano area. He always desired to work and serve other people. He was generous, loved people,  and would provide food to others telling them "Chapa Chakula."

He passed on Father's Day June 16th 2024 very suddenly. On behalf of the Kalui and Genya Family of Kehancha and the families of his loved ones such as that of the late Pastor Phillip Mbinda Kamweli of Nunguni, we loved Ntheke and will always love him. We miss him physically and spiritually he is with us. God's love is greatest. Till we meet again in yonder rest in peace dear Ntheke, and enjoy the art there.                                     John 11:35 – Jesus wept. Christ is love and cares.
