Norman Clinton James was born October 21st, 1953, to Hanson James and Juanita Trotter. Norman went to be with our lord on April 25th, 2024, he passed peacefully surrounded by family and friends. He is survived by his Daughter Johnia Nicole Massey of Athens Texas, son Phillip Norman Clinton James of Houston Texas. Norman is preceded by death by his daughter Deana Renee James of Dallas Texas, Granddaughter Brittany Renee James of Hurst Texas, sister Lamanda Mcintosh, of Chandler Texas, wife Nancy James of Athens Texas.

Norman has 6 grandchildren, Kaitlyn Simone Harris, Tayah Nicole Burke, Janessa Danielle Harris, Adreanna Renee Brune, Brittany Renee James and Joshua James

Norman enjoyed dancing at many clubs in Dallas Texas, he loved doing the two-step with his cousin Vicky Burnett and ex wife Janice Rist, and many of his uncles.

Norman loved to play Bingo, he loved to gamble, he loved to travel, and he loved spending time with his family and friends. His mother was his world. They were very close. Norman loved going to the Beef House with his good friend Bob, sister Donna Russell, Brother Robby Turner, cousins Mary Smith and Vicky Burnett. Norman loved to play pool and go to the game rooms. He has many nieces and nephews.
