Nelson Maldonado was born on October 4, 1972, in Jocoro, Morazán, El Salvador. He moved to the U.S and found a home in the city of Garland, Texas, in 1995. In 2020, he moved to a small developing town in Fate, TX. It was in April 2024 when he was unfortunately diagnosed with stage IV stomach cancer. For over a year and a half, he fought a hard battle with stage IV stomach cancer. Sadly, Nelson passed away on November 27, 2025, though peacefully and surrounded by family.

Today, we choose to remember Nelson for the charismatic, unselfish, and committed man he was. Nelson's nobleness knew no bounds, touching countless lives along his journey through life. His friends and family always knew they could count on him when needed. He will forever be an exemplary father, a loving husband, a caring brother, and a loyal friend. Nelson is survived by his spouse, Maria Diaz, and his three children, Nelson, Natalie, and Edinson Maldonado.
