In Loving Memory of Nancy “Sue” Suzanne Hamilton

January 17, 1947 – September 23, 2026

Nancy “Sue” Suzanne (Ent) Hamilton, 79, passed away peacefully on September 23, 2026.

Sue was born on January 17, 1947, in Spokane, Washington, to James Ellis Ent and Mary “Betty” Elizabeth (Kopet) Ent.

Throughout her life, Sue was known for her friendly nature and generous heart. She formed friendships with neighbors during her daily walks with her dog. For many years, her beloved dog, Bella, was a cherished companion. In the final months of her life, Finn went with her on these walks, bringing her comfort and companionship.

More than anything else, Sue treasured her family. Holidays held a particularly special place in her heart, and she loved opening her home for family gatherings filled with traditional meals, conversation, laughter, and time together. These occasions reflected what mattered most to her: bringing the people she loved together and creating memories.

A devoted and hardworking mother, Sue raised two children while building a lifelong career as a paralegal. Her dedication to both her family and her work reflected her strength, perseverance, and commitment to those who depended on her.

Sue is survived by her son, Jeffrey “Jeff” Allured Hamilton, and his wife, Kendra, of Wylie, Texas; her daughter, Stacy Suzanne (Hamilton) Wester, of Forney, Texas; her grandson, James David Wester, and granddaughter, Elizabeth “Liz” Lauren Wester, both of Forney, Texas; her brother, John Ellis Ent, of Houston, Texas; her sister, Mary Margaret (Ent) Bensel, of Garland, Texas; and numerous cousins, nieces, nephews, and dear friends.

Though she will be deeply, the traditions she cherished, the memories she created, and the family she loved will continue to carry her legacy forward.

A celebration of Sue’s life will be held with family and friends during the upcoming Thanksgiving season.

In lieu of flowers, the family invites those wishing to honor Sue’s memory to consider adopting a pet or donating to the SPCA: Donate to SPCA.
