Micheal Reed Alsbrooks was born in San Angelo, Texas on December 3, 1957. He went home to the Father on May 13, 2025. He was 67 years old. Mike grew up in South Garland, Attending South Garland High School. He worked from a young age; mowing lawns, catty at the golf course, Helping Dad change the lights at William's stadium. He received his GED in San Angelo at 17, then joined the Marine Corp. After he completed his service to our country, he worked in various jobs till he became a truck driver. He retired from the US Postal service as a truck driver taking mail from Dallas to Albuquerque, New Mexico, to care for his wife, (Cissy Cox. He was a member of AA, he earned his chip for 23 years of sobriety. Mike was a wonderful son, brother, husband, father and grandfather.
Mike was a man who enjoyed life, good music, dancing, and spending time with his family and friends. He would tell you all about his family and friends while having an ice-cold coke and a hot cheeseburger. Traveling was one of Mike's many joys, especially with family and friends. He loved riding his Harley with Babygirl, Daisy-Mae (coolest and classiest road dog ever) and then telling everyone about their adventures. He shot a pretty mean game of pool and wasn't too shabby at poker either. Mike's second home was water, he loved fishing, boating and swimming, but his passion was scuba diving. Mike was a Master Diver and a Dive Master. Mike was a man of kindness, and he loved helping people in whatever way he could. Mike very much loved his family and friends. He will be missed
Mike is survived by his sons Arthur Alsbrooks & his wife Cat, Harley Alsbrooks and his wife. Grandchildren Aurora, Xavier, and Nathaniel. His twin sisters; Theresa Alsbrooks Peet and husband John and Rita Alsbrooks Thibodaux. Nephews and nieces. Best friend Neal Ferguson, Earl Baker His cousin/brother and various cousins. He is preceded in death by his parents William Reed Alsbrooks and Joyce Glenn, and his younger brother William (Cotton) Alsbrooks.
