Obituary

Melinda Thrasher, a devoted mother, wife, sister, and friend, passed away on October 27. She lived a life marked by deep faith in Jesus Christ, unwavering love for her children and grandchildren, and a strength that touched everyone who knew her.

Melinda was a faithful witness for the Lord who shared her faith with everyone she met. Her life reflected the love of Christ in the way she cared for her family, encouraged others, and spoke of Jesus with overwhelming sincerity. She found her greatest joy in her children and grandchildren, cherishing every moment spent with them and pouring into their lives with prayer, wisdom, and affection. Those closest to her will also remember her unique sense of humor and vivacious personality—a bright, spirited energy that filled a room and brought smiles and laughter even in ordinary moments.

Being a faithful Christian, Melinda’s presence brought warmth, steadiness, and life. Those who loved her will remember her boisterous spirit, her steadfast trust in the Lord, and the way she pointed others toward Jesus through both her words and her example.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Charles and Jan Dunbar; her husband, Paul Thrasher; and her daughter, Erica Thrasher.

Melinda is survived by her children, Tiffany and Logan Thrasher; her grandchildren, Liliana, Amelia, and Ian Thrasher and Harlan Holt; her sisters, Melissa Carlson and Sallian Dunbar; and her brother, Keith Dunbar.

She leaves behind a legacy of faith and love that will continue to live on in the hearts of her family and all who were blessed to know her. Her children and grandchildren were the treasures of her heart, and her devotion to them was a reflection of the love she first received from her Savior.

“Well done, good and faithful servant.”
