Mary Ruth Reed Wilson

July 4, 1934 – August 23,2024

Mary Ruth Reed Wilson was born on July 4,1934 in Tyler Texas to parents Roy & Juanita Reed .  After leading a beautiful life of 90 years, she passed peacefully enjoying nature outside in her swing, on August 23. 2024. She left this life with a slight smile on her face into Jesus loving arms, leaving a legacy of love behind knowing that her family will soon follow her into heaven.

Mary grew up with two sisters( Billie Jean Teel & Tommie Estell Smith) and one Brother (Philip Reed) in Tyler, spending their days playing in the woods, climbing trees, swinging on vies and her favorite pastime, fishing. She graduated from John Tyler High school and soon after met the love of her life in 1952 while visiting relatives. Louie & Mary soon married on May 15,1954 and spent the next 70 years devoted to God and each other. In 1963, God began their family with a son Jeff, shortly after, he blessed them with another son, Greg, and a few years later He blessed them with a daughter, Pam. Mary embraced motherhood and raised her children to love the Lord. She made time to be a great homemaker and mother, but also a loving wife. Mary & Louie were faithful members of Bois D'Arcy Baptist church in East Tawakoni. She enjoyed spending much time with fer family, fishing and camping. After raising her children, Mary & Louie took up dancing and the never missed an opportunity to go boot scooting'!

Mary was always a hard worker and would still come in to work with her kids. Not that she enjoyed the work, but she loved spending quality time with her kids, husband and grandkids. She considered her grandkids to be one of God's greatest Gifts. Mary had three grandsons (Mark Murdock, Damian Wilson, Aden Wilson) and three granddaughters (Hali Balentine, Brook Murdock, Madalynn Wilson) and 1 great granddaughter (Aubry Balentine).

Mary's life was a testament to her love for Christ, her family and others. Her memory will be cherished by all who knew her.
