Mary Ellen Scott age 88 of Garland, Texas went home to be with the Lord on Friday December 29, 2023. She was born April 22, 1935 in Seminole, Oklahoma. She is survived by her husband Billy M. Scott of 46 years, step daughter Martha Bloodworth & husband Bill Bloodworth of Holly Lake Ranch Tx, step son Richard M. Scott & wife Cynthia Scott of Sunnyvale TX., five step grandchildren and seven step great grandchildren. She is preceded in death by her father William Monroe Wilcox and mother Mabel Van Landingham Wilcox, son Johnny Lee Pack, five brothers and three sisters.

Mary attended Strother High School in Oklahoma and was an outstanding basketball player. She worked for many years as a dental office manager. She loved to dance and was a member of a dance group. She was active in the local VFW Post 6796 with her husband. In addition, she loved to travel. Mary was always the life of the party and always had something funny to say.

Visitation for family and friends will be held Wednesday, January 3, from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at Williams Funeral Directors,1600 S Garland Ave., Garland , TX, 75040. Interment will be Thursday, January 4, 2024, 2:00 PM on S Hill Street at Meridian Cemetery in Meridian TX.
