Marlene Maria Burrow was born April 30, 1938 to Veronica and Nicholas Obsharsky in Charleroi, PA. She was the eldest of five sisters. She married her high school sweetheart, Bill (Joseph William McCay, Jr.) on July 5, 1956 and they raised three children in their hometown who survive them: Carol Ann Matesic (Gary) of Allen, TX; Cynthia Jean Havrilak (Tom) of Suwanee, GA; and William Nicholas McCay (Connie) of Salem, VA.

Outgoing and generous, she led a busy and productive life. She remarried Floyd Latchem in Charleroi in 1974 and ran a "Cheers"-like bar, Latch's Lounge, for many years.  She had a regular crowd and was known for her giant fish sandwiches (well before "takeout" became popular). The bar even sponsored a local softball team.

She eventually divorced and moved to Dallas with her daughter Carol in 1986, where she became a passionate member of the square-dancing community. When not on the dance floor, she enjoyed working in downtown Dallas at Buck Consultants until 1998. She met and married Ken Burrow, and they enjoyed nine years of dancing together with the Lone Star Solos group before he passed away in 1996. She also worked with Carol in her estate liquidation business, JLA Treasures, LLC, for nearly 20 years. She remained active with the Lone Star Solos until 2019, as dancing was one of her greatest joys in life. She was proud that she could teach both the ladies' and men's steps when needed. In addition to dancing, she enjoyed baking, camping, and playing cards and dominoes with family and friends.

Just before the COVID lockdowns in 2020, she moved to Grand Brook Memory Care of McKinney. The family would like to thank the caring staff there, as well as the Angels of Hope Hospice, for the tireless and loving care they provided in her last years.

In addition to her three children, she is survived by four sisters: Carolyn MacAuliffe of Richardson, TX; Nicholene Skibo of Newport, NC; Laura Kickbusch of South Park, PA; and Margaret (Peggy) Spirko of Rincon, GA, as well as seven grandchildren:  Jaclyn Ann Macioce, Jillian Houghton, Lauren St Laurent, Nicholas Havrilak, Kate McCay, Joseph Havrilak, and Alyssa Shae Matesic as well as four great-grandchildren.

Visitation will be 1:00PM – 3:00PM Sunday, April 23, 2023 at Williams Funeral Directors. Funeral service will be 1:00PM Monday, April 24, 2023 at Williams Memorial Chapel with interment to immediately follow at Garland Memorial Park.
