Marilyn Louise (Lulu) Marshall Shipley, 74, passed away Friday, April 21, 2023, at Colonial Lodge Memory Care in Greenville, Texas, following an injury due to a fall at the end of December. She was born in Tyler, Texas, to William Neil Marshall and Marjorie Clemmer Marshall.

Marilyn was a dedicated daughter, sister, aunt, wife, mother, and a joyful Nana. She had the sweetest, most generous spirit. She and Jim were happily married over 50 years. They spent most of their lives in Kaufman, Texas, where she worked at the Kaufman County Courthouse as a secretary.

She was preceded in death by her parents and four siblings, Pat, Mike, Katy, and Mary Helen.

She is survived by her spouse, Jim Shipley, her three children, Ron Shipley and wife, Debi, of Fate, Tx; Jennifer Shipley of Austin, Tx; James Shipley and wife, Diane, of Greenville, Tx, and one grandson, John Shipley.

A graveside service will be held at 10:30 a.m. Saturday, April 29 at Mills Cemetery, 500 Mills Rd., Garland, TX 75040
