Marietta Mattox Adams, age 92 passed away peacefully Tuesday August 15, 2023. She was born January 12, 1931 to Carrie Beulah (Page) and Francis Marion Mattox in Elgin Kansas.

She was a wonderful caring wife and mother who always showed un conditional love. She was a devoted Christian
and was always active in the Nazarene church. In 1973 she started oil painting and discovered how much she enjoyed painting and went on to teach painting classes. She worked at Tandy Crafts, Twist of Lemon and the City of Garland.

She is survived by son Howard Adams (Connie), daughters Debra Riley (Thomas), Lisa Turner (Steve), Jana Bennington (Leeman) and daughter-in-law Deborah Adams, numerous grandchildren and great grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband Howard Adams, son Alan Adams, brothers Carl and Earl Mattox and sisters Nillie Hite and Vicky Youngman.

Visitation is August 28, 2023, from 9:30am to 10:30am at Williams Funeral Directors. Funeral Service is August 28, 2023, at 10:30am at Williams Memorial Chapel. Interment to follow at Garland Memorial Park with a reception to follow after the gravesite service at Williams Funeral Home.
