Margaret Ann Greve Brown, known affectionately as Mags, passed away peacefully on February 11, 2026, surrounded by her loving family. Born on March 26, 1940, in Tulsa, Oklahoma, to J. Paul and Louise Hohl Greve, Margaret lived a life full of love, dedication, and service.

Margaret was a proud graduate of Will Rogers High School, class of 1958, and furthered her education at Lindenwood College before transferring to the University of Oklahoma University. There, she graduated with a Bachelor of Business Administration degree, earning the honor of Beta Gamma Sigma. It was at OU that she met the love of her life, Bruce (Bucky) Taylor Brown, whom she married on October 30, 1965, at Holy Trinity Catholic Church in Dallas.

Margaret's career as a fashion merchandiser buyer with Titches department store took her on exciting business trips to New York City. However, she chose to leave her professional career to focus on raising her three children, Greg, Elizabeth, and Michael, in Garland, Texas. Her home was a haven of love, filled with family heirlooms and antiques from her business, Heart and Hand.

Margaret was deeply involved in her community, serving as president of the Willie Kate Holmes preschool mothers' club, and participating in the Garland Garden Club, Junior League of Garland, and Garland Service League. She was a founder of the New Beginning Center, supporting individuals and families affected by domestic violence. Her volunteer work extended to the Garland Landmark Society and Caldwell Elementary School, where she was fondly known as "the reading lady."

Her vivacious personality and sharp wit earned her a wide circle of friends, and she cherished her time with her "birthday lunch bunch," Critic's Choice book club, and Bible study group. Margaret's legacy of love and kindness lives on through her grandchildren, who affectionately called her GiGi.

Margaret is survived by her devoted husband, Bucky; daughter, Elizabeth Behrens and son-in-law, Mark; son, Michael Brown; grandchildren, Michael and Emily Behrens, and Noah and Wren Brown; brother, John Greve, Jr. and sister-in-law, Lynda; nieces, Laura Greve Allison and Anna Greve Utley; and cousins, Mary Hohl Manning and Jim Hohl. She was predeceased by her parents and her son, Greg.

A visitation to honor Margaret's life will be held on Friday, February 20, from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. at Williams Funeral Home, 1600 South Garland Avenue, Garland, TX. Margaret's family extends their heartfelt gratitude to the caregivers from Homewatch CareGivers of Northeast Garland and Charlin Health Services for their compassionate care during her final weeks.
