And moved to the United States at the age of 19, for better opportunities. She lived in Dallas, Texas. She started work in that area and her sister Irene always looked out for her. They both had a unbreakable  bond. Lucia later became a mother in 1987 to a daughter named Vicky and in 1993 to a son named Efren. She raised them as a single mother and worked hard to provide. Her kids grew along with her sister·s Irene children. They also babysat for one and another. In 2003 Lucia purchased  her first home in Garland Tx. She later started working  at Ernesto's Tex-Mex restaurant as a cook if you asked anyone she knew they would tell you she knew how cook and get down in the kitchen. She worked there for 19 years. She developed many friendships at her jobs. She loved her coworkers and her beloved friends.

She had a passion  for people and enjoyed always getting gifts  for others. She became a grandmother in 2006 and later on had more grandchildren. She loved her grandchildren and they loved her so much, all her grandchildren call her Mommy. She loved to dance if you would ever see her on the dance floor she would always dance up a storm. She could dance all night. Lucia was always there for others without  a doubt. She was a strong woman with a heart of gold. Anyone that knew her would tell you she is like a rare gem.
