Lowell Joseph
Mcnally
Apr 21, 1937 — Dec 21, 2022
Garland
Lowell Joseph McNally; our beloved husband, father, grandfather, and friend passed away peacefully on December 21, 2022 after a long battle with Alzheimer's disease.
Lowell was born in Port Colborne, Ontario, Canada, on April 21, 1937. At the age of seven, his family relocated to Rochester, New York; where he spent the remainder of his youth. He joined the Air Force in 1956 and was based in Shreveport, Louisiana; where he met his wife of 62 years, Billie. They married in 1960 after Lowell completed his tour in Okinawa. They made their home in Garland, Texas; where they welcomed and raised their 4 children.
Over the next 40 years, Lowell worked for Centennial Liquor Stores as Vice President of Computer Science and Services. He led the company through many generations of technological advances, securing Centennial's position as an industry leader.
In 1970, while working full time and raising four children, Lowell returned to school and graduated from SMU, earning a Bachelor of Mathematics Degree.
Lowell was a dedicated member of the Catholic Church throughout his entire life. He served many years as a lector, choir member, and volunteer at Good Shepherd in Garland. For the past 25 years he has been a faithful member of St. Joseph's in Richardson.
Lowell had an exuberant and outgoing personality. He enjoyed travelling with family and friends, baseball, jigsaw puzzles, and sudoku. He was very much the life of the party.
he is survived by his loving wife, Billie; daughters, Sharon and husband, Dodd, Shannon and husband, Robert, Suzanne; and son, Scott and wife, Angie; seven grandchildren; and one great-grandchild.
We would like to acknowledge and thank all of the caregivers at Arden Court in Richardson and Pathway Hospice for their encouragement, support, and loving care.
A Funeral service will be held in Lowell's honor at 2:00 PM Thursday, December 29, 2022 at Sacred Heart Chapel in Rowlett, Texas; with interment to follow at Sacred Heart Cemetery. The family will accept visitors 30 minutes prior to the service.
