On Friday, March 17, 2023 LouAnn "Hirschi" Hauck at age 71, went home to be with her Lord and Savior, and family who previously passed on before her.

LouAnn was born into the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, on January 1, 1952, in Rexburg, Madison, Idaho, the daughter of LaVell Jacob Hirschi and Donna Guinette Feik, while it was -20 degrees outside.

As a child at 5 years olds she helped with the dairy cows on the farm.  She would walk out to the pasture down the road following the canals and cross over the canal bridge to the 2 ^nd pasture and she would call the lead cows by name, one of the names was Bossie and they would follow her home to the milk barn.  After the cows were milked, she would hand milk the cows to get the last of the milk out to help keep the cream production up.

One winter, when she was about 6 years old, she thought it was warm outside and saw a huge puddle of water from melting snow.  She then went to her room and put on a swimsuit and ran outside to play in the water.  She went outside and found out that it was still very cold. She decided to stay out there for about 10 mins longer because she had her heart set to swim. When she could not stand it any longer she went inside to warm up.

She graduated from Sugar-Salem High School in the class of 1970 and later graduated from Ricks college in  Rexburg, Idaho now known as BYU-Idaho.

After her graduation, she took a new job in Washington, D. C. where she met her husband Paul Sydney Hauck Sr. and they were married for time and all eternity on April 8, 1975 in the Idaho Falls Temple located in Idaho Falls, Idaho.

LouAnn Hauck was a loving wife to Paul Hauck Sr. and a mother to Shanette Marie "Hauck" Richins, Peter LaVell Hauck, Arleena Doris "Hauck" Campbell, Eric Lynn Hauck, and was nurturing to Paul Hauck Jr., Carey Hauck Sr, Robert Hauck, Daniel Hauck, and David Hauck as her own children.

She helped run a family owned HVAC Mechanical business and was a great secretary.  She also managed to take care of all of her children.  She loved playing sports, volleyball, baseball, and basketball, with her church.  She was also an excellent piano player and would play her children to sleep at night and wake them up in the morning playing the piano.  She was a proficient seamstress and enjoyed making clothes for her entire family.  She loved cooking for her family and was an expert in making anything with potatoes.   She always liked to think positive, she didn't like to be negative. She was very stubborn even when she was not feeling good and still managed to help her family and others around her as much as possible. Especially her 2 sons Peter and Eric Hauck who had Duchenne's Muscular Dystrophy and were eventually wheelchair bound.

For those who knew her well she struggled with health issues for quite some time. In 1996 she was given a 2 ^nd chance at life.  After waiting for a long time and within a small window of opportunity she was given a new birth date on November 1 ^st , 1996.  She received a heart transplant a week from the day her name was put on the transplant list.  Her family was awoken from sleeping at 3am and receiving a call from St. Paul Hospital in Dallas, TX saying that a heart was coming from Corpus Christi and they immediately began to prep her for surgery.  She awoke 8-10 hours later which began her new life.

As the years moved on, she had many callings in The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints.  To name a few, she was at one time a pianist for the kids in Primary, and another time a pianist for the sisters in Relief Society.  She was a church librarian, genealogy worker and a Temple worker.  She loved all her different callings. In her free time she liked to work on puzzles or spend time with her children and grandchildren.  She wanted to always be there to help and take care of her grandchildren and always told them to take care of their parents. She was always willing to babysit or go to their activities even when she was not feeling the greatest.  She has always been an example of great strength and perseverance.

LouAnn was truly a wonderful, sweet, caring and loving wife, sister, mother, grandmother and friend and was fiercely devoted to family.  She loved to serve her family and others.  She will be dearly missed by those who survive her, until we meet again at Jesus's feet.

LouAnn is survived by her loving husband, soulmate, and eternal companion for time and all eternity, Paul Sydney Hauck Sr., her children:  Paul Hauck Jr., Carey Sr. and Kendal Hauck, Robert Hauck, Daniel Sr. and Eri Hauck, David Sr. and Mary Hauck, Shanette and Brad Richins, Arleena and David A. Campbell.

Her grandchildren Jennifer and Tim Esola, Chris Hauck, Shandyn and Jerod Anslem, Jake Leesley, Carey Hauck Jr., James Hauck, Magan Durand Langley, Daniel Hauck Jr., Bobby Hauck, David Jr. and Delaney Hauck, Jason and Yanira Hauck, Lisa Hauck, Kaitlyn Richins, Amber Richins, David Eric Campbell, Morgan Campbell, Patricia Campbell, MacKenzie Campbell, Kenzo Hauck and 7 great grandchildren with one on the way.  Her siblings: Sharleen Simpson, Darl and Diane Hirschi, Guinette Isom, Neil and Katherine Hirschi, Robin Hirschi and Alaris and Clarence Treat, And all who know her.

She was preceded in death by:  her 2 sons Peter and Eric Hauck, her sister Margene, and her parents LaVell and Donna Hirschi and many ancestors.
