Linda Diane Overby Tinney was born in Bakersfield, California on October 6, 1942, daughter of David Overby and Gertrude (Bales) Overby and passed away on May 29, 2024, in Rockwall, Texas.

She graduated from Garland High School in 1960. She married her high school sweetheart, Charles Ronald Montgomery, and they had 2 children together, Rondi and Chuck. In 1985 she met and married the love of her life, Ron Tinney.

Linda spent 29 years employed by Republic National Life Insurance Company and The Beasley Foundation. She retired on December 31, 2011.

She loved spending time with her grandchildren and attending their sporting events. She also loved her church and the people with all of her heart. One of her favorite hobbies was genealogy which she did with Ron and her sister Robbie. Linda was most happy surrounded by family and friends during holidays.

Linda is survived by her daughter, Rondi Arbter, and husband, Marty; son, Chuck Montgomery, and wife, Amy; grandchildren, Danielle and Zane; sister, Robbi Bass, and husband, Mike; and numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, and extended family members. She was preceded in death by her husband, Ron Tinney; sister, Joyce; and brother, David.
