Linda Lackey Mershawn was born January 8, 1948 in Jackson, Mississippi to Jessie Lester Lackey & Flosie Rae Faulkner Lackey and passed away May 20, 2026 in Dallas, Texas. She is survived by her son, Micah Jason Meshawn; siblings: Jess Lackey, Les Lackey, J Lackey; cousins: Betty Corbin, Chellia Humphrey, Janiece Hansen, Janet Henderson, Steve Bailey, Andy Sykes, Jimmy Sykes; brother-in-law, Ronnie Mershawn & wife Lisa; numerous other family members & loved ones. Linda was preceded in death by her parents and husband, William Garvin Mershawn.

Visitation will be 6:00PM – 8:00PM Tuesday, May 26, 2026 at Williams Funeral Directors. Funeral service will be 10:30AM Wednesday, May 27, 2026 at Williams Memorial Chapel. Interment will immediately follow the funeral at 1:00PM at Swisher Cemetery in Lake Dallas.
