Linda S. Hartin

Linda, affectionally known as Lynn, was born April 16, 1948 in Dallas to Charles M. and Lillian Ethelene Sherrard. She had brothers Charles R. and Alvin and a sister Charlene.

Linda graduated from Samuell High School in 1967. She worked as an architectural draftsman with Arjo Engineering, and later worked for Southwest Land Title Co. Most of her career was at credit unions; first CEMCO, then Southwest Airlines Federal Credit Union, before retiring.

Linda married Conover Hartin "Connie" in 1976. They raised 5 children, and Linda became "Nanny" to 27 grandkids and 23 great-grandkids who adored her.

She was a Christian and a member of First Baptist Church of Urbandale in Dallas.

Linda is survived by her husband of nearly 50 years, Connie Hartin, her brother Charles Richard Sherrard, daughters Beverley Morrison (husband Tim Morrison), Michelle Benfield, Nicki Elliott, Sheila Spurgin (husband Ray Spurgin), and son Daryl Hartin (wife Lorrinda Hartin), many nieces and nephews, and her grandkids and great-grandkids.

Visitation will be Saturday, May 20, 2023 from 11:00 am to 12:30 pm and funeral service will be the same day at 1:00 pm; burial will be a private service in Galveston County.
