Obituary

On December 03, 2022, Linda Horton Giddens passed away peacefully at home surrounded by her loving family after an eight-year battle with cancer.

Linda is survived by her husband of 58 years, Charlie Giddens; son Kelly and his wife, Chris of Lilburn, Georgia; son Greg and his wife, Allyson of Frisco, Texas; grandchildren Campbel, Avery and Zachary; brother Terry Horton and his wife, Quinn; niece Misti Kusano and her husband, Keoki and their children Matthew, Abigail and Jacob; niece Kristi Matthys and her husband, Adrian and their children Mallory and Sophia; as well as a multitude of cousins, family and close friends.

Linda age 78, was born on April 23, 1944, in Dallas, Texas to J W 'Oval' Horton and Evelyn Faye 'Guy' Pickett Horton. Graduating from Garland High School, she was a 'Dashing Deb' and crowned Miss Garland 1962. She then attended Texas Tech University where she met Charlie. With Linda as the navigator and Charlie as the driver, they enjoyed traveling the United States. Together they visited 49 of the state capitals. She was an active member of Daughters of the American Revolution, John Abston Chapter. Linda was a devoted wife, daughter, mother, grandmother 'Mimi', sister, and aunt. She enjoyed spending time with her family, attending her grandchildren's activities and being involved in their lives.

Linda is preceded in death by her parents Oval and Evelyn Horton and her sister Peggy Jean Horton.

Linda lived with a strong faith in GOD and tried each day to be a blessing for HIM.
