It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Larry Cole on January 9, 2024. Born on October 23, 1967, Larry touched the lives of many with his warmth, kindness, and passion.

Larry was a devoted individual with a love for sports memorabilia and fishing. His enthusiasm for collecting sports memorabilia brought joy to his life, and he often shared stories of cherished pieces in his collection. Larry found solace and happiness by the water, where he enjoyed the tranquility of fishing and the beauty of nature.

In addition to his hobbies, Larry was known for his generosity and willingness to lend a helping hand to those in need. His positive spirit and infectious laughter will be remembered by all who had the privilege of knowing him.

Larry is Preceded in Death by his mother, Wilma Dianna Cole, his father, Larry Randall Cole, his grandmother Wilma Ruth Sturdevant, his brother Jerome Allen Cole, and his son John DeRome and by his daughter, Kambrie Kay Sykes. He is survived by his wife, Elena Rhea Cole, his brothers, Gerald Piper and Randall Cole, his sisters, Teresa McCown-Rath, Stephanie Krewson, Michelle Piper, and Brandy Cole, also by his best friend of 40 years, Kevin Johnson, and countless other friends and family. A graveside funeral service to celebrate Larry's life will be held on Sunday, January 21, 2024 at 2pm at Williams Funeral Directors located at 1600 S. Garland Avenue in Garland, Texas.

In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests donations be made to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital.

Larry Cole's memory will forever live on in the hearts of those who knew and loved him. May he rest in peace and be dancing on two legs.
