Larry Franklin Billingsly of Garland, Texas was born on August 5, 1941, in Dallas, Texas. He passed away on July 26, 2024, at the age of 82 years old. He is survived by his wife of 58 years Becky Billingsly, his daughter Cristi Overton and her husband Terry Overton, son Brent Billingsly and his wife Meridith Billingsly, His brother Allan Billingsly and his wife Ginger Billingsly and his grandchildren Cassidi Burris, Brayden Billingsly, Peyton Billingsly, Emersyn Billingsly, Taylor Overton and Sarah Overton, several nieces and nephews and sister-in-law Patricia Tune.

He was preceded in death by his parents Alfred and Gaynell Billingsly, sister Sandra Williams and her husband Harry Williams Jr. and brother-in-law David Williams.

Anyone that knew Larry knows that he was an avid sports lover. Particularly golf, horse racing and the Atlanta Braves. He was a PGA of America 50 year life member and spent many years as a golf pro at a number of golf courses. He and his wife owned and operated Town East Driving Range for 17 years. He spent most of his Saturdays at Lone Star Park betting on the horses and spending time with many of the friends he made there. Larry was a devoted and loving husband, father, grandfather and friend. He will be greatly missed by so many.
