Juan Alfredo Diaz, 75, of Garland, Texas went home to our Lord peacefully on April 13, 2025, surrounded by his family at his residence. A beloved husband, father, and fur-dad will always be remembered for his boisterous personality, intellect and mission to protect and provide for his family.

Born on March 15, 1950, in El Paso, Texas, Juan or "Freddy" as he was known to his siblings, was the fifth of twelve children to Juan and Guadalupe.  After graduating from Bowie High School, Juan enlisted in the U.S. Army and served honorably for four years.

A proud husband and father, Juan delicately balanced a full-time career, full-time school and a family as he worked for the El Paso electric company.  After graduating with his BA in Computer Science, Juan took the opportunity to move to the Dallas area where he found his career path as a data base administrator up until his retirement several years ago.  Juan dedicated his life to growth, learning and providing his family with love, opportunity and foundations that continue influence and shape the lives of his wife and children to this date.

On December 5,1975, Juan married the love of his life, Dora Puente. The two shared a life of happiness, challenges and triumphs which lasted nearly 50 years and yielded three children.

Juan is survived by his wife, Dora Diaz, sons, Mark Anthony and Daniel Alejandro, daughter, Jennifer Ann, and fur-kids, Ricky and Gio. Juan is also survived by his siblings, Jose, Armando, Arturo, Cosme, Angel Rodolfo, Rosa and Lucila.  He was preceded in death by his parents, Juan and Guadalupe, and siblings, Paul, Mercedes, Bobby, and Damian.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made on his behalf to the St. Jude's Children Research Hospital at StJude.org, a charity close to Juan's and Dora's hearts.
