John O'Neal Rose

1985-2024

John was born August 28, 1985 in Dallas, TX and passed away May 5, 2024. He attended schools in Dallas and Oak Cliff, and was part of the ROTC. After graduating, he went to Remington Technical College and obtained several technical certificates. He began working in the food industry, and later did landscaping work. He married Lori Rose on April 8, 2023 and recently celebrated their one year anniversary; and loved tending to their gardens and many flowers.

John is survived by his wife, Lori Rose; mother, Brenda Artis; children, John Rose Jr., Ja'Kayla Perkins, and Janiyah Rose, brother, Kendrick Rose; sisters, Kaniesha Rose, and Jasmine Rose and Jeramy; nieces and nephews, Kendrick Rose Jr., Christian Rose, Chloe Rose, Breanna West, Jatajah Whitmire, Tajianna Whitmire, My'racle Edwards, Latricee Edwards, and Jeremiah Edwards; and a host of beloved aunts, uncles and extended family. He was preceded by his father, Derrick Wade, step-father Larry Artis, and grandparents, Katie May Rose and Albennie Turner.

A remembrance of John's life will be held Tuesday, May 14 at 1:00PM at Williams Memorial Chapel, located at 1600 South Garland Ave, Garland TX 75040. A viewing will be held prior to services from 11AM-1PM. In lieu of flowers, please donate to the Marfan Society at https://give.marfan.org
