In loving memory of John Benjamin Kelly Jr,

John Bennie Kelly Jr was born to his father John Benjamin Kelly, Sr and mother Cornelia Kelly Jones. John grew up among his siblings Patricia, Cynthia, and Michael. He was born in Monroe, Louisiana and lived there for all of his juvenile years attending St. Fredericks High School graduating Class of 1969. Then Continuing his education at Northwestern State University graduating Class of 1972. John was an All American Football player. He played all through his high school and college years, starring in his hometown newspaper multiple times. Rooting for #43 all the way to heaven!

As time progressed John welcomed his children Chrisdelin, Leticia, and John Kelly. John dedicated 11 years of his life to teach algebra and coach football. Later on starting a new career with Kemper in Dallas, Tx.

John embarked in a new journey that changed his life forever. Late in 2010 John met his now Wife Maria Amaya of Kelly. John maintained a long distance relationship. She lived in San Salvador and he was in Texas. John fell in love and was determined to marry Maria. John took Spanish courses, traveled, and provided. He came to adopt all 3 of Maria's children, Yeimy, Katherine, and Douglas Amaya.

John was a loving husband, father and grandfather, he was passionate about football and cooking. He was a marvelous man. He passed on July 31st, 2023. He was surrounded by all his loved ones. By keeping his memory alive he would never truly pass because he will always be in our hearts. The Amaya-Kelly family would like to thank everyone that has kept John in their prayers and for their support.
