He was born September 1, 1928 in Greenville, Texas to Clyde and Clarissa Ann Hall, who preceded him in death along with his beloved siblings, Dorothy and Charles. Corky grew up in Greenville and Dallas, and graduated from Greenville High School in1945. He married Lillie G Money in 1950 and moved to Dallas in 1951. They were married for 53 years upon Lillie's passing in 2003. They had two children, Kathy and Richard. Corky started work at First Southwest Co. (now Hilltop Securities) in 1951 in the mail room and proudly served the company for 64 years, retiring in 2015 as an Executive Director. He was a municipal financial advisor for many cities and school districts in Texas throughout his career. Corky was a devoted member of the Highland Oaks Church of Christ, serving as an elder and in various leadership roles over the years. He loved to golf, travel, and serve his community. He especially loved spending time with his family. His granddaughters and then great- grandchildren were the joys of his heart.
Corky is survived by his daughter Kathy, son-in-law Robert Maxfield; son Richard; granddaughter Alison (Maxfield) Hale and husband Matt; granddaughter Breana (Maxfield) Dickson and husband Barrett; and great-grandchildren: Ezra Hale, Isaiah Hale, and Jaycee Dickson.
Special thanks to Fidelia, who has been with the family for over twenty years, Florina, and Hector for their loving care given to Corky in his final years. He will be greatly missed but always loved and remembered.
