GARLAND
Jesse Ray Garrison, 99, of Garland, Texas went home to be with the Lord on May 17, 2023, surrounded by family in Garland, Texas. He was born in Cleveland, Oklahoma on the 4th of July, 1923 to proud parents, George and Lilly Garrison.
Before all else Jesse was two things: a Christian and a Marine. He attended church at Northlake Baptist where he was a member for many years and involved with many different church activities and functions and made it to church as often as he could until his passing. As a Marine he served in World War 2 in Guam and various other campaigns, he was a member of VFW and American Legion. Jesse worked for years as a gauger for Sun Oil company, and after retirement found many different hobbies that kept him busy. He enjoyed dancing, fishing (especially catfish), bowling, traveling, and spending time with his family.
Jesse is survived by his sons; Jesse R. Garrison Jr. and his wife Bonni, and Chipper Garrison and his wife Sandy, grandchildren; Amber Garrison Weigl, Melissa Garrison King, Christopher Reeves, Jim Garrison, Tim Garrison, Corey Garrison, Gloria Garrison, Matthew Garrison, great grandchildren; Catherine Weigl, William Weigl, great grandchildren; Henry Weigl, Max Weigl, Garrison King, Coleman King, Chloe Reeves, Riley Reeves, Forrest Clawson, Coleman Clawson, Ian Clawson, and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
