Jerry Dean Capper of Garland, Texas, aged 85, passed away peacefully early Sunday morning, June 17, 2024. He had recently fallen and broke his hip and just wasn't able to recover from his injuries.

He is preceded in death by his wife Virginia Lee Capper and daughter Candy Sue Capper.  Jerry is survived by 3 sons, Lance Dean Capper, Daniel Allen Capper and Clint Edward Capper.  Jerry was also the proud grandfather to Jordan Kyle Capper, Summer Austin Capper, Haley Nicole Capper, Hannah Capri Capper and one great grandson Nolan Kyle Capper.

Jerry was born in Delphi, Indiana on October 13, 1938. The youngest child of Harry Capper and Grace Dowell. Jerry had 5 brothers and sisters. Jerry served 4 years in the United States Air Force.

After his time in the service he moved to Dallas, Texas where he started working for Collins Radio.  He worked at Collins Radio for 35 years before retiring at age 56. In retirement, Jerry enjoyed crossword puzzles. jogging and walking, small woodworking projects and spending time with his grand kids. Jerry also loved his pets.
