Obituary

Our loving Mom, Jaly Ann Lovelady Strebeck, age 85, went to her everlasting home on February 24, 2024. She was born October 12, 1938, in Dallas, Texas, the youngest of three children of Clovis and Ruth Lovelady. Jaly attended school in Waxahachie, Texas. During her senior year she meet Thomas Strebeck of Belmont, Louisiana and they married in October of 1956.

On the Sunday after they were married Jaly began her role as a pastor's wife and served alongside her husband in the various churches he pastored. She also worked for Texas Instruments, Young Texans Clothing store, GISD as a principal secretary and well as a therapeutic recreational therapist for Presbyterian Hospital in Dallas. Thomas and Jaly had three children – Vicki Suzett, Mark William and Elizabeth Renee'.

Jaly is survived by her oldest daughter Vicki Petsch and husband John of Rockwall, Texas, her son Mark Strebeck and wife Elizabeth of Rocksprings, Texas and her youngest daughter Elizabeth Moreno of Cumby, Texas. She also survived by grandchildren Jennifer Petsch of Dallas, William Strebeck and wife Reba of Big Spring, Hannah Heubner and husband Micah of Odessa, Justin Moreno of Kaufman, Jonathan Strebeck of Eastland, Steve Moreno and wife Stephanie of Pleasanton, Megan Strebeck of Rocksprings, Renee Moreno of Seagoville and 8 great grandchildren.

She is preceded in death by her parents Clovis and Ruth Lovelady, Sister Connie Bearden and brother Forrest Lovelady and by her devoted husband Thomas Strebeck.

Jaly loved her family and also found great enjoyment serving as a sponsor on numerous summer camps and youth choir trips while they were members at FBC Garland. As a sponsor she always loved each young person as if they were her own.

The memorial service is 2:00 p.m. Tuesday March 12, 2024, at First Baptist Church in Garland, TX, 801 W. Ave. D, Garland, TX. Visitation with the family to follow the service.
